Trimming is a useful tool which allows a user to change how a Hintro or Hinterview starts and ends.
For example, Hinterview recordings might have a little extra at the beginning or end, which are not useful for a Hiring Manager to watch. Trimming does exactly that, it allows the user to remove any unnecessary parts of the recording, at the begining or end.
1 - To find the Trim editing tool, either choose a Hinterview from the Candidate or Hinterview tab. If looking to Trim a Hintro, then select the desired Hintro from the Hintro menu.
Once inside the desired video, click on the Edit tab at the top of the page and open the Trim drop down on the right hand side. To Trim the first part, select play and choose where the video is to start from. Once selected, press play again to pause the video and click "SET" to set a new start to the video, in the "Start Time" area.
2 - To set the end, repeat the process, but this time, press pause when the video is to end and press "SET" in the "End Time" area.
Press "Trim Video" to finalize the Trim.
3 - A second message will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to trim the video. It will also show how long the new video will be. If the displayed length is not correct, you can click "Don't Trim the Video" to cancel and update the Start and End times once again.
