Treat this like a face to face Interview – Make sure you have done your preparation beforehand and ensure that you are dressed appropriately.

Avoid Background Noise – try to find a quiet place where background noise and other distractions won’t interfere with your microphone

Presentation is key – Make sure you a are sat directly in front of the camera with a plain background behind you. Also make sure that there is enough lighting on your face but avoid sitting directly in front of a light source.

Microphone and Camera – Make sure your microphone, headset and camera are plugged in and you have granted them permission. Please ensure you have done this beforehand, otherwise you may need to start the session again.

Background Applications – Please close all background apps that may be using your camera and microphone e.g. Skype, Zoom, MS Teams

Internet Signal – Hinterview relies on a good internet connection. Please make sure you have a strong WiFi signal. If not, try switching to 4G instead.
