The transcript of a video in Hinterview can be searched, edited and, when relevant, the speaker names can be added/edited.

Clicking on a section of a transcript will jump you to that point in the video to watch.

Add Speaker Names

When a video is auto-recorded via the Hintel Notetaker the transcription is auto-created. In this instance it is common for the speakers to be labelled Speaker 1, Speaker 2 etc...

These can be edited in the Speaker tab of the Transcripts section:

  1. Select the Transcripts section

  2. Select the Speakers tab

  3. Edit or add the names

  4. Save

How to edit the speaker labels

Once this is done the labels on the transcript will update

Search the Transcript

You can search for words or phrases in the transcript to take you to the relevant point in the video.

In the transcript section of the video page, click on the Search box and enter the words you're looking for.

You'll get:

  • Confirmation of how many times the word appears in the text

  • Every section including the word is highlighted in blue

  • The instance you're focused on is highlighted in yellow

  • You can use the arrows to easily jump to the next instance of the word

Once you're done the x icon can be used to clear your search

Editing the Transcript

It's easy to edit the text of a transcript if something has been miss-identified by our AI transcription, for example if it's a sector specific word

  1. Click on the section of the transcript you want to edit - it will highlight blue

  2. Place the cursor in the relevant place

  3. Edit as needed

  4. Repeat throughout the transcript as needed

  5. Select Update to save all your edits

The page will then refresh and your updates will be saved
